Believe it or not. Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition runs smoothly in VMWare Fusion on a Mac! The article said the performance is better than running Vista with VMWare Fusion. The thing is Vista doesn’t even run decent on an average Intel box. Of course it doesn’t run with dignity on a Mac.
Running some versions of Windows well on Mac won’t grant you one though. Apple is having a long run before it gets Mac into the so-called main stream in every Joe’s office space due to the “relatively affordable”¬†price plus hell lots of support issues.
Anyway, it’s a good news to hear for web developers like me. At least I don’t have to keep yet another Intel box to fool around with yet another form of Windoze.
