This is an interesting news. Intel recommends thier employees NOT to upgrade to Windows Vista.
Intel, the giant chip maker and longtime partner of Microsoft, has decided against upgrading the computers of its own 80,000 employees to Microsoft’s Vista operating system, a person with direct knowledge of the company’s plans said.
With the launch of Adobe Creative Suite 3, finally the native support is here for Intel Mac. Someone has spotted an interesting thing about the CS3 promotion page on Apple Store. It mentions “quad-core” Intel processing.
As we all know, Apple is using only dual-core processors even on Mac Pro. So does that mean a cpu update finally arrive? Maybe that’s the event happening during NAB? Will we be getting quad-core MacBook Pro after all these years?
If you happen to be relying on OS 9 only apps for your daily work, here’s some good news. There may be some sort of solution to run Mac OS 9 on Intel Mac, here and here. However there’s really no way to ensure whether your app will run in such environment. Maybe you should ask your friends with Intel Mac to try it out first before you order your brand new Intel Mac. At least there’s some sort of solution out there for you.

However it still can’t beat the dual G5 2.5GHz in Photoshop 7 test yet. At least until some time in 2007 when Adobe releases the next update to their Creative Suite. Until then I’ll hang on with my trusty old Mac.
