Cheaper iPhone on Monday?!
Rumor mills are digging hard about anything Apple for sure. A number of sources say Apple will introduce a cheaper iPhone as soon as next Monday during WWDC.
It’s logical to reduce the price of iPhone to get more momentum in its market share under the current condition of economy. But I wonder what would be the feature left out. Right now, for those not interesting in iPhone are saying it is lack of features they really need or not up to their expectations. If there are more features to be removed from it, will it piss off more people? Or will it gain some new ground for the lower budget consumers?
Steve Jobs returing
According to MacWorld, Steve Jobs is returning to work at Apple sometimes this month. Rejoice, my friend! Wonders we shall see?
iPhone for 2009
Seems iPhone 3G will come in 2 flavors with 3 different configurations – iPhone 3G (8GB), iPhone 3G Pro (16GB & 32GB). This summer AT&T in US is bring 7.2Mbps to their 3.5G network. The third generation’s physical appearance remains mostly the same except that it will have matte finishing on the back. Hope it will be as good as the original Netwon MessagePad.
Video is coming iPhone but not third generation?
Apple has just posted a job ad recruiting low level programmer for iPhone familiar with the ARMv7 family. According to MacRumors, this means faster CPU (currently it’s ARMv6) and bringing video related functions to iPhone. But this is late May already. These functions are less likely to make it to the July release this year. Will this be a software upgarde later, meaning iPhone third generation is already using this ARMv7 CPU or it’s targeting for the fourth generation iPhone in 2010?!
H1N1 is in Hong Kong now!!!
The first H1N1 case is found in Hong Kong. I certainly hope no more. But somehow my gut feeling tells me there will be. I just don’t want the SARS epidemics relive ever again.
Stay clear of anyone in 6 feet radius as that’s the range of possible inflection mentioned in a CNN program.
Stay healthy. Stay clean. Don’t touch anything. Don’t cough. Stay updated with radio and/or TV.

iPhone 3.0 will be speedier

Domon ramen
Finally tried lunch at Domon ramen at Tsimshatsui. Had the ramen with long leg crab meta, barbecue mince chicken and shrimp dumplings.
The ramen and bbq mince chicken taste great. Though the dumplings are a bit oily. Good choice for a decent Japanese ramen in Hong Kong.
