The entire iPod line refresh soon?!

Could this be ture that the entire iPod line gets refresh in the next 2-3 weeks at all? It’s not yet the holiday seasons but we all know that this is clearance period before school begins again in September.

Kevin Ross has posted a photo & video of the next iPod. A much taller form than the current one.

Latest rumors:
– Revamp of entire iPod line.
– Small cosmetic changes to Touch, Nano to see significant redesign (see pic below).
– iPods to see fairly large price drops to distance itself from the $199 iPhone.
– iPod touch 2.1 software, iPhone to get update very soon after.
– iTunes 8.0 (“it’s a big update w/new features”).
– All of this coming in the next 2-3 weeks.

Yes, iPhone Dev Team has just released Pwnage 2.0. One thing it doesn’t do for your iPhone is to unlock the 3G network. It works for all iPhone, iPod Touch, iPhone 3G with 2.0 firmware.

What’s your verdict on iPhone 3G with 3 HK

With iPhone 3G launched globally, what’s your verdict of the final product?

There’s story reported in a local newspaper about how bad the battery is when GPS (the prime suspect), email, 3G, bluetooth, etc all running at the same time will drain the battery within ONE hour!!! But that’s tested before the actual launch. My question is will the final consumer product’s battery life be extended?

And what about its performance? Voice mail working good with 3 HK? Try anything from App Store yet?

Definitely like to know more before I get one.

Intel says “no” to Vista?!

This is an interesting news. Intel recommends thier employees NOT to upgrade to Windows Vista.

Intel, the giant chip maker and longtime partner of Microsoft, has decided against upgrading the computers of its own 80,000 employees to Microsoft’s Vista operating system, a person with direct knowledge of the company’s plans said.

iPhone 3G for €1

Apparently you can get your iPhone 3G for just from T-Mobile in Germany. TUAW posted the T-Mobile rate plans for 24 months!! You can get your 8GB or 16GB iPhone 3G for just €1 and €19.95 respectively when you join the most expensive plan.

I wonder if 3 HK will give out free iPhone with a 2 year contract……

Looking forward to having other operators releasing iPhone 3G locally since 3 HK doesn’t sound like having an exclusive deal for iPhone 3G.

iPhone 2.0 pricing myst

OK, so iPhone 2.0 is announced and the price in US with AT&T is US$199 / US$299 for 8GB & 16GB model respectively. But that price locks you down with AT&T for 2 years. That’s why there’s no pricing information for elsewhere.

Myst 1 – how much iPhone 2.0 will cost you in your own country?

Myst 2 – will iPhone 2.0 lock you down for 2 or even more years with the mobile operators everywhere?

iPhone will get subsidies?

Financial Times reports that iPhone will get US$200 subsidies from mobile operators.

Apple has accepted that the new iPhone should be subsidised in the US and western Europe by the mobile operators who sell it to consumers, according to people familiar with the matter.

Will 3 Hong Kong subsidy iPhone after all?

Meanwhile there are more and more leaking iPhone 2.0 images & pricing from Europe.
